I have a question about Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act I see this stuff especially the "privacy statement" all the time on the bottom of sites. What are they? The defense department policy I tried to read before but it was very very long and I couldn't understand lots of the terminology. something said military records are accessible to anyone making FOIA request, so if anyone can get anything, what privacy does the privacy act allow? what information is collected on people with the FOIA?
