Posted by Sgt Phrogman One note of caution - go easy on the supplements if you earn the title and get to a gym. Ephidrene is banned by Maradmin from being sold to Marines on base and even Creatine and other supplments can create problems for you as a grunt. Stick to the basics of nutrition and vitamins and you will do fine. There are always some experienced Marines around who are into building mass it seems, so seek their advice on how to strike a balance. Good luck to you earning the title. Phrogman out.

Marines are all about endurance rather than mass. Mass is just exrta weight to carry around and you will learn quickly the less weight you have piled on you in any form the better off you will be. You will have more PT than you want for some time as a new Marine. After a time you will be allowed to work out in a gym on your own, however I think by then you will not be so interested in mass alone but in strength and endurance. All of this of course depends on where you are stationed and the facilities available.
