Posted by Sgt Phrogman I am very pleased you are going to become an officer of Marines, even if you have to go to the Naval Academy to do it! My dad's CEO was Class of '92 and a SEAL, now disabled (on a mission.) He has always been very good to me and kinda makes me feel bad for all the things we Marines like to say in jest about Naval Officers. You are the Corps future. I might not be getting out if I had officers like you or M14 in my early years as a Marine. Having good officers is so vital to our Corps, and wouldn't you know I had to wait 6 years to get the type of CO we all think we are going to get after boot. At least I got one for all of my trouble. I have still never made it to Rota if you can believe it. Ireland, Germany, England and more, but we never got to stop at Rota! I am going to Europe next summer and I swear I am going to see Rota one way or another. Right now I am getting ready for Fleet Week in NYC. Should be sweet. Stay in touch buddy, if only on this Board.
