Posted by Sergeant Phrogman In any other situation a Marine should have enough pride to look smart and just wear some civilian shoes (running shoes, flops or whatever) with jeans. NCO's need to provide guidance if they see a junior Marine in jeans and their boots, regs or no regs.

Sometimes you will be put in a work detail to help paint the house of the widow of a retired service member or other community service project. I have been ordered to wear jeans and boots in that situation and it makes sense.
