Posted by Technophile on 12/30/2005, 9:19:59 Thank you to all who participate on this Board. To those who have so faithfully helped to provide guidance, some for years, and for those who help to administer this Board, please except my special thanks. You epitomize all of the values the Corps holds so dear. To those who have come to this Board for answers, gone on to EARN the title and then have returned to help, some repeatedly, know that you are fulfilling the dream of the founder of this Board. Thank you for demonstrating to those who visit here the character you have developed as Marines. Your actions show the world how Marines repay those Marines who helped them by assuming responsibility for helping to shoulder the load. For those who have loved ones deployed, may you be comforted in their absence. I work to help support families of deployed Marines in the KV network and PWST. If you have not yet EARNED the title and know of a spouse or family of a deployed Marine or other service member, please reach out to them and let them know how much you appreciate their sacrifice as well as that of their loved one. If you are able to help mow a lawn, wash a car, write a poem or just provide moral support, do so without hesitation. You have no idea how small gestures add up to meaningful support for the families. Don't bug them about the Corps, just be there if needed. The payback you will receive in your heart in return for your support will amaze you. For all Marines and the sailors who serve along side them, thank you for your service and upholding the finest traditions of the Corps and Navy. A special thanks to all who have been deployed in the last 4 years, including of course the huge number of reservists, often activated for two years. For those currently deployed (including my son Cpl Phrogman on his second tour) a special thanks and prayers for your safety and return to your loved ones. For those who have given all we can never repay you, but we can pray for your loved ones and never forget what you have done for all of us. As you celebrate the New Year, stay safe and take time to cherish your loved ones most of all. Technophile
