Posted by M14 on 12/28/2005, 20:43:46 I was at MWTC and many of the instructors were using something that looks like the pack I posted below. I was issued the same thing except it wasn't MARPAT. Is that going to be used by Marines from now on? Are ALICE packs going to be discontinued? Also, I remember having a chance to use some pack with a plastic frame that was different from both packs, in that the isomat was supposed to be on the side. Does it just depend on what is available at the duty station?

I am wondering what packs are used by Marines these days. I am familiar with the ALICE packs. I was once told that those are going to be used less often as other packs are used instead.
