Posted by Cindy on 1/22/2002, 7:40 pm I also have purchased a folding keyboard and now keep all my meeting notes as well as classroom notes on it to sync with my computer at a more convenient time. I can print out copies for files.
I rely on the alarms set on my PDA. My students know when the alram rings, that we have 5 more minutes. When I set the alarms to ring before meetings, I make sure I add in the travel time. For example: If I have to be at a meeting at 3:00, and it takes me 20 minutes to get there, my alarm starts to remind me at 2:30 and at 5 minute intervals until I turn it off. (It is one nag that I don't get upset with.) Also when I have an IEP meeting that might go on for hours, I have it set for a resonable time, and can easily bring the meeting to an end or reschedule to finish it. Parents have been very understanding of this "committment" to another meeting.
