Your document is now a template that cannot be altered or copied over (as would happen if you didn't make it a template and forgot to do a "SAVE AS"). You can use this technique for any type of document, regardless of the program used to generate it (APPLEWORKS, BOARDMAKER, etc.).
Once you've created the "shell" (layout of lines, boxes, etc. that is empty of actual content) for books, worksheets, Bingo games, etc., be sure to make it into a template (or stationery--same thing) so you can use the shell over and over without ever losing it. Here's how:
2. Close the document.
3. Locate the document icon on your hard drive, and click ONE TIME to highlight the icon.
4. Go to FILE, pull down to GET INFO (or hit COMMAND-I on your keyboard).
5. Click on the little box in the lower right corner next to "Stationery." Then close the window.
