Posted by mia on 8/16/2001, 8:52 am 1. When the printer light on my Epson starts flashing and I get the message "low ink," I just keep on going. It's amazing how many more copies I can make before the ink tank actually runs out. 2. To help plan how much ink I'll need for the school year, I put a stickie note inside my printer case where I note the date that I replaced an ink tank. Over time, this gives me a pretty accurate picture of my ink usage so I can predict my needs and order ahead. 3. Always store extra ink tanks, sealed in their protective foil pouches, in the same position as they would sit in your printer (flat side up, ink jets down). This keeps the ink ready to flow when you install.
Here's a few of things I've learned about printer ink.
