BACK UP!

Here's another lesson learned the hard way-- BACK UP YOUR FILES! Establish a schedule (say, every 15th of the month) and stick to it, so at most--in the event of computer meltdown, theft, or other disaster--you'll only lose 1 month of work. Be sure to store the back-up disk AWAY from the computer. Back-up disks in your computer laptop case won't do you any good if the computer is stolen.
