Posted by techie2 on 8/4/2001, 12:24 pm Eureka! A great solution that WORKS! I installed VIRTUAL PC on my trusty Mac PowerBook and can now use this program. VIRTUAL PC (available all over) turns a Mac into a Windows computer, and while it doesn't work with all programs that I've tried, it works GREAT with WRITING WITH SYMBOLS 2000. My current project is captioning children's books with text & symbols for ESL and Life Skills students who have little/no reading ability. Using WRITING WITH SYMBOLS 2000 really speeds the process.
I have been wanting to try WRITING WITH SYMBOLS 2000, a program from Mayer-Johnson that immediately puts symbols with text as you type. However, I am a die-hard Macintosh user, and the program is only available in Windows.
