I know many people might already be aware of this idea. There are many switches on the market for MDS students. We never seem to have enough to go around due to costs. Several of the classrooms which I serve are using a simple photo "frame" with a recordable message button. We adapted it to make the outer cover become the "button" by using a piece of glue stick about 3/8 in. thick glued to the inside of the cover. A piece of sponge or "sticky tack" works, too. These are inexpensive (sold at Radio Shack) and can be velcroed to the arm of a wheelchair, on a door, or anywhere that a routine message could be used. They can be easily reprogrammed with a new message. Some parents use them at home because they are easily available, cost little, and can be carried in your pocket when not in use. Ideal for ordering in a restaurant.
