It depends on the way the symbol or graphic was saved. Sometimes the color is true -- all the same shade of blue, for instance -- and then you can easy change to another solid color. But sometimes the color is actually a combination of colors so when you try to change the color, you're really only changing one pixel (dot) of color. The only way around this is to erase the color, then dump a new color in the white space. Takes time and patience!
