New Jersey Devils forward Patrik Elias is expected to miss 3-to-6 weeks with groin issues. The club announced on Wednesday that Elias, who was set to begin his 13th season with the team, had a procedure to break up scar tissue in his groin which had built up over the last four seasons. The Czech native underwent groin surgery during the 2005-06 campaign which limited him to 38 contests.
