Congratulations to the Nanaimo Whalers on their second PNFHL CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Series MVP Alexei Kovalev.... how fitting... Ward gets secondary honors with a great shut out in the final game.
The third period proved somewhat uneventful as the defensive minded Whalers stimied the Spokane Rednecks into a home town win. Let the champagne pour and the parties begin. Captain Jerome Iginla, who had 10 points in the playoffs said "I'm going to Disneyland!!"
