Bart, you should know better than bringing these inconvenient matters up - but since you did -
A few observations:
- are you saying that opposing "Health Care" legislation as proposed has nothing to do with racism or disrespecting Ted Kennedy?
- HR3200 (short of a 99% overhaul) will not be the Bill that makes it out of Committee - the end Bill, if any, will most likely come from the Senate
- since the Executive hasn't actually written a health care Bill, does this mean that Congress (the current majority) overtly favors relinquishing power to the Executive (Raul Emmanuel?) or is this simply the naive result of the ruling party members who haven't/won't read a telephone book sized Bill?
- let's pretend Obama didn't actually lie to Joe Wilson but rather conveniently omitted the basic fact that denying benefits to illegals is "unconstitutional" as was shown by the Courts overturning Prop 187 in California several years ago. It doesn't matter what is written into the law - there're enough liberal judges out there who will overturn it.
Other than these points and what the guy in the article said - I don't know what all the fuss is about. After all - 53% voted for change.
