Don't count on that statement. They will only change the treatment plan. My husband has liver cancer and hospital that has been treating him for Hep C has best liver surgeon in state, however military (govt) insurance refuses to have surgery done at this hospital but to send him to a hospital for general surgery, all because current hospital is not in network for surgeries. So as you can see treatment will be given just not the best or most reliable but to the least knowledgeable and possible to most risky
