The news always makes things sound worse than it really is. We had several earthquakes when I was living in Pasadena. Geof's mom and dad called from England all in a panic because there had been pictures of the one and only brick building that collapsed in Pasadena. They showed that picture over and over and from different angles that it made it seem the entire city was in rubbles. After the second or third quake, they realized they were seeing the same collapsed building. I made the front page of the LA Times twice wearing the same suit (how embarrissing) and standing in the exact same location talking to the same people! Once was for an earthquake, once for a power outage which happened in different years.
