My sister took a trip to Alaska this year and came back very teary eyed about the plight of the polar bears and how they might not be here when her grandkids are grown, etc.
A new tradition this year in the family is to cut down the gift list and send that money to a charity/charities. Some of us choose the Worldwide Wildlife Fund and adopted 4 polar bears in the name of the grandkids. A surprise for my sister. And yes, I do like making her cry on Christmas!
