fortunately or unfortunately - that's not how the electoral process works - essentially half of all the votes don't count because of the "all for one" rule where each State's total delegates/electorates must cast their vote for the majority vote getter in that State, even if it's by one vote.
I have to say that I do respect each person's preference even if I don't agree with them. I'm more troubled by the pesky undecideds at this point, who of course, keep the drama going until the evening of Nov 4th and perhaps beyond. They're the kind of person you hate to go to dinner with because they keep changing their minds and end up being unsatisfied with the what they finally get.
In this election the issues, voting records and spoken positions couldn't be further apart. To flea one's party affiliation for the other candidate is so much more than just not liking your party's selection - you are buying a whole entirely different set of principles and values - many which may not even come close to what you believe in. That being said - I put much more credence in disdain for a candidate who sat in the pew of a hate monger preacher for 20 years than a crude 2 second verbal indiscretion. One is a horrible 2 decade life choice - the other is a horrible 2 second potty mouth mistake.
I like the Obama analogy that says that either Obama is a pathological liar about his past associations or he is Mr Magoo's blind as a bat lost brother. Neither one is Presidential material to me.
