actually it's "repressed" not "oppressed" - and while I'm not a professional shrink per se, I'd say your affinity towards the obits has a direct correlation to your childhood that was sheltered from clowns and cartoons even to the point where it was Sherry who first cited the demise of Chucko. It appears that your repression precluded you from first reporting the Clown's exit. Not sure if this condition is reversible or not but to recall the immortal words of Rick Dees in 1983 - "Rug burns may be preventable - but they're not curable"! By the way - you make rr and me laugh constantly - so yes - don't worry - you are funny.
