hey Dave, you are absolutely correct! we were just talking about them at work & our conversation almost exactly mirrored your posting.... I asked if anyone remembered them & my neighbour said yes, they were gross!
So tell your girlfriend they did exist! You should find a bag & make her eat them! lol.
