I was named after my grandmother and was told it was a Cherokee name. I was given a beautiful meaning later in life but because it was so beautiful just knew I would never forget it and didn't write it down. I am older now and can't remember. Can someone please help me. Also, my dad, aunt & uncle told me that my grandmother, Abigail Harper was on the Trail of Tears. It is her daughter named Roena Leota. I can't prove the Indian Heritage but my immediate ancestor's pictures have the beautiful look of an Indian and hold them selves with the proud carriage of one. I would appreciate any help in that area. At the moment, tho, I am really anxious to receive the beautiful meaning of my name again. Thanks
