I have four GRAND MOTHERS who were Cherokee.
Number One was born July 2 1872 on the reservation in Oklahoma. Her father was a missionary and her mother eastern Cherokee Indian was from Kentucky, and was 100%. His surname was Messer. Great grandmother and GGreatgrand mother
