Posted by charley priddy Project: Cape View Buy-a-Key Update On April 13th Judy Turner, Cape View’s Music Director, and Sharon Horton, Cape View’s Principal, informed me that Piano Distributors of Melbourne delivered the new Yamaha Clavinova digital piano to Cape View Elementary School. We immediately became aware of the lack of wheels on the Clavinova for portability around campus. I contacted Piano Distributors and learned that an after market wheel assembly, called a Clavi-mover had to be purchased separately and installed. Yamaha’s website directs one to a vendor that listed the Clavi-mover for $499. I contacted Piano Distributors and they knew of a local vendor that sells and installs the Clavi-mover for $285. I contracted with the vendor and he installed the Clavi-mover on Cape View’s Clavinova on April 29th. The "keyboard" plaque recognizing the donors is being created at this time. Again Judy Turner, the Music Director at Cape View Elementary School, Cape View’s Principal Sharon Horton, and I wish to extend our sincere thanks to: Suzanne (Anderson) Vaughn, CBHS Class of 1967, Clarksville, Maryland Accounting: Accounting: (A second Clavi-mover was ordered and delivered to Doug Grogan, CBHS’ Chorus and Orchestra Director as they have been carrying their Clavinova around campus utilizing “brute strength.” I received an email from Doug yesterday, May 19th, and he has installed the Clavi-mover on CBHS’ Clavinova that was donated to CBHS in May of 2004.)
