The School Board actually is looking toward the future. Personally, I hope they will reconsider their decision not to introduce Spanish instruction beginning in with second graders. Like providing for the arts and physical education during the early years of a child's education, the sooner children experiences foreign language education the benefits build with each passing school year. Those students would really are getting a well rounded education.

The School Board members of the Brevard District Schools voted UNANIMOUSLY to APPROVE the six year plan to upgrade all of the existing campuses in the county. You can read Florida Today's report on the meeting for the next seven days at:
