At the end of the event, when world champion awards were given out, our team (out of over 300 teams) was awarded the General Motors Quality Design award--best in the world! It was amazing!" The world championship for the 2005 ROCCOBOT Team was the culmination of a brilliant season, winning UCF for the first time ever, winning the Denver regional, winning the Chairman's award in Denver, and winning Denver's Excellence in Web Design award. Between April 21st and April 23rd the ROCCOBOTS - TEAM 233 – The Pink Team competed in the 2005 FIRST* Robotics World Championships at the George Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. The ROCCOBOTS team is comprised of CBHS Minutemen and Rockledge High Raiders that are at least 15 years old. Their advisor/mentor is Marian Passmore, CBHS Class of 1974 and Math teacher at Rockledge High. Ms. Passmore reported the results of competition in the CBHS MEmail #2-16:
