Ms. Patricia Vann, Cocoa Beach High School’s principal has retired after an amazing nineteen years at the helm of CBHS. The other decision they will make is in regard to making $16 million worth of significant improvements to Cocoa Beach High School. IF approved, the improvements will take place over the next six years. Mrs. Marjorie Ebersbach, Cocoa Beach’s acting principal, outlined the proposed improvements in Cocoa Beach High’s MEmail #2-14, sent to me on 13 April 2005: The district has released the list of projects planned by the School Board in the proposed facilities plan. Public input on the plan took place Monday (11 April 2005) at Satellite Beach. A list of the projects for Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School is included in this MEmail. Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School, because of its age and population is scheduled to receive over $16 million in improvements including a theater, new track, upgrades to the electrical and HVAC system, painting and door replacement, furniture replacement and upgrades to the media center. All of these items are sorely needed and we are hopeful that the School Board will approve the plan for implementation. The School Board is scheduled to vote on the plan on April 26, 2005.
