My sister Frances has been really pissed off with this storm name thing. She lives in Melbourne near my mom and dad who is too feeble to move so instead of heading to Tampa, we went from Vero to their house. Vero Beach was in the eye wall for about 10 hours as the eye went just south of here. Our neighbors had 2 feet of river water but our house is a bit higher so we missed that fun by about 8". My wife Debra runs St. Andrews School in Ft. Pierce near the marina and lost their roof. Working hard to restore the school and get back to classes. We lost a royal palm, a reclinata palm and a bunch of landscaping. Other than that, no damage. Strong house. Ivan the terrible is headed to Tallahassee. It will be interesting to see just how long the ememrgency folks take to get their power back. Ours took until Friday night. Some here are still without. Hope all is well with all of you. A wise old lady I know once said that when you live near the beautiful waters of Florida, sometimes you live in those same waters...its the price we pay. Its worth it. Keep in touch, george
