You might want to see the Florida Today online site. There are a lot of pictures of CB. Seem to be adding to them daily. Different parts of town were affected differently.
Alot of people were with out electric. They are in process of restoring.
Publix & Denny's were open Monday what a great help. Apparently A1A is clear all through CB even though they had / have alot of traffic lights down.
My parents live on South Atlantic Ave. between 10 & 11 Street South. They are not ocean front.
They evacuated to Tampa & returned Monday.
They have city water & phone but no electric.
The ocean front house across the street lost its roof.
The debris broke a window in their house letting in water. Fortunately a neighbor who stayed secured it before they got back.
They have partial roof damage on the flat parts of their roof. Also water damage. Apparently pretty messy.
They are still in pretty good spirits considering.
Have contacted insurance, the contractor & my brothers have all been working on. Expect will have materials to fix this quickly.
Family & friends are helping each other with what each has to offer.
The "new sand" in CB moved into many beach front back yards. Some have sand dunes above the sea wall. My brother (lives in Rockledge) said it was even in Mom & Dad's back yard.
The Florida Today pictures are pretty amazing.
Haven't seen any pictures of their house, ect. yet.
Ron Jon's is to open today.
Hopefully Ivan will not decide to visit.
