I recently visited Newfoundland and if I were ever to raise another child (never,never,never!!!!!), I would go there. It is still a place where neighbors know neighbors, everyone keeps watch on any kid that happens to be around, back yard parties are the norm with kids included, accidents are accidents, kids play outside inspite of the techno toys, and, in the area I stayed in, no one locks their doors.
