Posted by Rick English '70 Steve was posthumously promoted to Lieutenant in the CBPD. There were many officers from all of the local jurisdictions, and many of the local politicians in attendance. He was given a 21 gun salute at the conclusion of the service. Cocoa Beach has lost its "Big Brother". Rick English, CBHS '70

A lot of us attended the memorial for Steve on Tuesday afternoon. The 1st Baptist Church of Cocoa Beach was standing room only. An equal amount of people had been there during the visitation hours and had left. During the service, there were many testimonials of the good things Steve did for individuals and the community.
