REALITY: …and not true. So your story is that the reason that my pregnant wife and kids flew in from Florida, and her mom flew in from Oklahoma and my dear friend Jeff moved in wasn’t to take care of mom when my family leave expired?
Are you saying that mom wasn’t scared and lonely after dad died? Are you saying she wasn’t happy to have her grand kids there with her or excited about possibly still being around when her newest granddaughter was born? The fact is that unlike you, Alice, they all really did work hard to help mom while you just made trouble and accusations from Florida.
You were sitting right next to mom with that angry smile on your face, when I asked her what she really wanted; to stay in her own home or move in with either one of us. I told her that whatever her choice, we will make it happen. You didn’t like her choice so you had another one of your loud tantrums. You scheduled a flight home for the next day and I made arrangements for my family to come out. Vilify all you want but she made the right decision and your greedy behavior was deplorable and your stories to cover your selfish butt are an insult to everyone.
Again, in your zeal to make me look bad, you insult mom. I guess it helps you avoid the guilt that you should feel for abandoning her again when she refused to let you manipulate her with every scare tactic you could think of. She had just lost her husband of 50 years but you wanted everything to be about you. Every day that you were out there, you exploited her fears to manipulated her and I had to spend the rest of the day calming her down.
The fact is that you made plans for her that she didn’t want. You made it impossible for her to tell you so she always felt that she had to come up with excuses.
The REAL REASON that you are so angry is because you know that had it not been for my family, you would have succeeded in forcing your agenda on mom. We gave her an option that you didn’t want her to have. Too bad!
The selfish and convenient thing for me to do would have been to keep my wife and kids at home with me in Florida and Shirley could have Kendra at home. All mom wanted was to see her grand kids but you used your kids as bait to manipulate her to your house instead of bringing them to her. You punished her for her decision by leaving your kids at home.
On a side note: Kendra was born during the most difficult year of my life and I often tell her that she is my flower from the year of manure.

Have you learned how to get your own credit cards in your own name yet? I am sure that Detective Guy Dailey would love speaking to you any time on your past and present identity crises.”
REALITY: If there is anyone who doesn’t have to worry about identity theft, it is someone who is already using a fake name and has spent most of her adult life dodging collection agencies and creditors with her answering machine. Stealing your ID would be like stealing a disease.
I thought his name was Detective Guy Nelson. I will have to dig up my copy of the warning letter he sent you guys for your first offense of mail fraud and stealing my mail. I seem to remember that your excuse back then was that you were blaming me for your high electric bill from hundreds of miles away. I guess even you eventually noticed how impossible that was so now that story has also “morphed.”
