You can't knock a lot of those clips, most are seminal, but it's not TOTP2 that's getting cancelled. Poor show. It had had it's day as that format, but that's only cause the BBC gave it to that gopher-jockey. MTV or any of the music channels just aren't the same, too many adverts for a start and too much repetition.
The beeb slowly killed it when they moved it to Fridays about 10,11 years back, a time when every self-respecting teenager (and me) would already have gone out in search of cider. Then they gave it to that bloke out of the broom cupboard to produce, then eventually moving it to BBC2 was the final nail.
