Posted by Rexroth on 3/28/2006, 11:18 am True Swamp Neglect Michael Wookey had always been Dr. Moriarty to his Holmes; the Jekyll to his Hyde; the Morecombe to his Wise. Now it was obvious that operation Hardsparrow had been reactivated, the chemical formula T.S.N. was about to be revealed for the first time since the Bluesky Research labs had been opened. If only his pension could afford the £2 entry fee. The fate of millions of dogs depended on it.

Kenneth Rexroth had known the time was drawing near. All the signs had been coming together like biblical predictions - the frost of leaves, dogs with eyes of wrath, the feel of cotton between his teeth - they all lead him to the wall of the Post Office where he drew his meagre pension:
The Wookey Band
Bluesky Research
Hardsparrow
The Rubber Soul poster flaunted it in his face. Thursday the 30th of March it said, 8:30 at the Opera House up in Benedict's (that was Rexroth's middle name - at least Wookey still had his sense of humour). He knew it was a trap, though - Michael had done well to keep under the radar of operation Hardsparrow for all these years, setting up the Bluesky Research labs where ever he could and fleeing when Rexroth ever got close. Whatever TSN was, whether it was Tricotine Sulphuric Nitrate or True Swamp Neglect (as the poster suggested) he'd have to go, the consequences be damned. Perhaps the boys at Bluesky Research had grown weary of the chase, although it had been cold for 20 years - perhaps True Swamp Neglect had finally been contained, and the coming of Hardsparrow was complete. He'd have to get there early, scope the place out, make sure he had a prime position for "the show".
