My great-great-grandfather, Peter Matthews moved from Americus, Missouri to this area with my great-grandmother, Sarah Ann, after the Civil War. They were joined later by John William Singleton, Danville, Montgomery County, Missouri, who wed Sarah and had a number of children born at Ft. St. Vrain, including two that died there. They lived in the area, including Ft. Lupton, off and on between 1880 & 1890. Would appreciate any information anyone may have related to the family. Thanks!
