Thank you for the information regarding that Maria Josepha Jaramillo (Carson) resided with Kit at Fort Garland in 1866. I did not know it is mentioned in two places. Do you know the name of the book written by the military officer touring the west after the civil war? Is the General Sherman record, who you inform me visited Kit at the exact same time on line, or can you give me a reference? I sincererly appreciate your research and your response. Thank you.
