I think that this response was insensitive and inappropriate. This guy is saying that he has resentment and bitterness in his heart and wants to get past it. I, too, have a sister-in-law who is very critical of everything I do. I have felt that I had to walk on egg shells the last few years to get along with her or not offend her. She's so easily offended and has said some things that have hurt me and my brother. The problem that I have right now is that I have reached out to her to resolve our issues, but she has acted like I had other motives like trying to divide their family, etc. I would say that you can be the "bigger" person and reach out to the both of them. Tell them that you don't want to be angry with them any longer and really mean it. If they still want to be bitter towards you, let it be. At least you tried. I wish you the best. Give your life to Christ who will help you. Your mind and heart is not warped; who wouldn't want to be loved and love their own family whether blood or not?! The fact is that she is married to your brother. They have become one, and it's a shame that she has tried to divide the two of you, but you need to forgive and be loving and kind anyhow. You must choose to forget her wrongs toward you. Yes, you'll know that she doesn't care a thing about you, but you have to not carry any bitterness in your heart, or it could cause health problems. Ask God to help you. I wish you the best.
