I can totally relate to what you feel, I think you have reacted very reasonably to the problem. You have taken enough distance to know that it is not just a personal problem but in fact a far deeper issue with previous relationships (if only we all knew that!). I just want to tell you that it I feel obsessed about family problems to, and I moved so far away thinking that it would never bother me again and guess what!!!!! It did. His family bothers me now.
