I wouldn't even watch Capote or Brokeback Mountain, let alone vote them best of the year. My favorites of the year were really great movies like The Island and Saw II. So the Oscars are bullshit that I don't waste my time on. If you're a genre movie fan like me, the Saturn Awards is the one to keep track of. In my opinion, they have a lot more great stuff on their nominations list. I just had to shoot my mouth off about this, I'm sick of the best stuff being ignored by an award that's supposed to celebrate the best in entertainment. What do you guys think about this?? Every year movie fans make a big deal out of the oscars. But the oscars regularly ignore the best horror and scifi. They think that the latest adaptation of a book about victorian england or the newest movie with people sitting around talking about their problems are the best movies?!?
