The Stalingradskaya Bitba Musee - Stalingrad battle museum - is in the centre of town, (Tsentralniiy district) just down by the Embankment and opposite the ruined flour mill. It consists of a very nice and informative museum with a circular building on top which houses a 360 foot panorama of the Stalingrad battle. Outside are a selection of tanks and aircraft and artillery pieces. A highly informative way to spend an afternoon. The Museum is just a short walk from Sergeant Pavlovs` house - the "house of the specialists", where some of my friends now live.
