I think the reason is pretty straightforward. Members are often those that go to 5-6 games a season and are often formed of our foreign support. They treat the whole experience as a day out and no doubt head straight for the 'Superstore' with the lure of a 10% discount and come out £200 lighter in their pocket. Us season ticket holders are probably more cynical, head straight for out seats, not bothering even with a programme as we pay the club too much already and have previously had our priveledges withdrawn. In short, they know they have our money secured so they don't have to dangle any carrots. Just wait for the 1st cup game when we are drawn against a 2nd div outfit and the club sell seats around us for 66% of what we pay!
In case you are wondering, yes I did renew as again I'm looking forward to a cracking season. COME ON YOU SPURS!!
