I appreciate what you're saying. My experience though is not that anyone is annihilated, it's just that it becomes realized who one actually is. You are, and have always been the Origin/Creator/Maintainer/Destroyer/Fabric of all Creation, including yourself as an individual and everything else. That feeling was mistaken to have been belonging to an individual, but it never did. It belonged to You the whole time. You: the whole Creation. The only You there ever was, and the only You there ever will be. Everything else is just maya. Thus, nothing is destroyed, we're just afraid that there is something to be destroyed that was never there in the first place. Damn, this sounds kinda abstract now that I write it out. Hopefully, the point will make sense though at least. I wish I could put it more concretely, because the experience is not abstract at all...
