I sometimes, well quite often, doubt if there actually are any out there, those my positive nature keeps me hoping. I think that comments like "you don't need one go within" show the person's lack of understanding of the spiritual process - not that it isn't a true statement, it's that the right spiritual teacher/coach can guide us and help us speed up our learning/growth. I would offer to you, that you could direct your intention to finding someone for your next step someone ahead of you on YOUR path, but not so far ahead that they are out of sight. (Though we are due for a new Buddha, Christ its seems it's about once every 2600 years, give or take a few hundred - so you really can't wait for that, ie maybe 2600AD). Most of the so-called teachers are so full of ego/self that the "air" around them is fetid :-). I AM NOT a spiritual teacher myself, I'm looking as well.
