I have felt like you many times. Life has afforded the opportunity to attend workshops and lectures, but, I cannot think of anyone I would personally recommend, all I adored are deceased. Perhaps you could find some solace in reading the works of Krishnamurti. Someone wrote in a thread that so many people are complicated writers, but, Krishnamurti had an amazing simplicity to his words. I don't know; it is just a thought. But, I am wondering if perhaps you are not so interested in being some devotee, or engaging in hero worship, as much as just wishing for enlightened people in daily life... Take care.
