What is revealed is the simplicity of recognition. There is no “somebody” that needs a thing to find. No special doing/not doing formula for peace, happiness or striving for a spiritual awakening ever revealed what is. The need for an answer vanishes in an instant of simply relaxing, as I am, with no need to do, change or be anybody. The clarity of life and all things is quite simple as an impersonal no-thing nobody. The adventure of not knowing what I am is the completeness and wonder of simply being.

The idea that only a truly enlightened egoless teacher can show me the way and stop the never-ending cycle of working on myself to be free is a mythological story belied by many. It’s about acquiring lots of ideas of what a free enlightened teacher looks like and acts like. He/she is supposed to be egoless, free from financial acquisitions, speak with authority and sincerity about freedom, wear simple clothing, show a detachment from life, and sexually neutered; all according to a standard that I have learned is acceptable. He/she is to be an example of the most immaculate expression of the perfect human known to man. He/she is not to express any interest in wanting anything from anybody. Only I am allowed to want some special attention, because I am a true sincerer seeker, and he/she will give me the transmission needed to ultimate freedom.
