Hi Ted Just read the first pages posted on a website. I hope he did not say he became pure consciousness, because each is already pure conscousness, now. Or more specifally, we are already the absolute Self in whatever state, deep sleep, dreaming or waking. It is only the illusions and attachments that are to be shed. In that sense there is no path to getting there. It is already here and now. It is the craving, the seeking, the notion of the seeker itself, that denies the self realisation in the here and now. The effortless surrender of all that is not you in the here and now is the realisation of absolute reality and bliss. Peace and love Jnanic
