One thing we have to be aware of is our own act of projecting our humanhood on our 'teachers' or on 'enlightened ones.' also there seems to be stages or level of enlightenment. One can also have an 'enlightening' experience, live in Presence for a 'while', then a veil drops down, and there we are, seemingly human again! I have been fortunate enough to have found a few on my path that, although may not be on a Ramana level, are still much farther along than I. One is Kay, and she lives in Georgia. she had a spontaneous awakening in 1984, much to her dismay! She was not on a spiritual path. It took a few years before she could assimilate what had happened to her...Kay died and only Awareness was left! She is giving a retreat in Prescott, Arizona towards the end of January. she does healing work, as well as teaching. I have had many 'obstacles' removed from my own expereince by working with Kay. I can send you a copy of her retreat invitation if anyone is interested. Her experience or teaching has sometimes been called 'absolute."
