Hi I've read the writings of a number of people who claim enlightenment. Some admit to still being unhappy some of the time. Others do not, but it is clear that while they speak of being free of thought and ego, they really do go on and on in the most complex and convoluted ideas and language, paragraph after paragraph to make the simplest points. They may have lost ego consciously, but their unconscious still seems loaded with ego and other stuff that arises and brings negative stuff up that they have not yet dealt with. Personally, I think you're better off sticking with Ramana, he spoke with brevity, precision and clarity. Good luck and sorry I can't suggest anyone who measures up. Peace and love Jnanic
