I normally don't post on message boards, but I felt an urge so I will. That feeling of you knowning there is a Sage out there finding you is simply an urge within you to learn. Your soul is possible ready to recieve "knowledge". You see there is no one Sage or what have you. Every person or thing who is in your life now and those whom will cross your path are your Sage. If you are willing and would like to learn about yourself, others, life, etc., open your mind and listen to your intervoice. It comes not only in the words of others you meet but through what I call "Silent Knowledge" It's a very very powerful feeling of understanding if you will. It's hard to explain. It can also be felt with things (plants, pictures, etc.) by simply relaxing, being at peace, and admiring them. Being one.
